Lizz Phillips, 16
Killed by a drunk driver
DEATH: LIZZ PHILLIPS

Saturday, August 12, 1995
Obituary

Lizz (Elizabeth) Phillips, age 151/2, died along with her friend, Jenny Neddo, August 10, 1995, the victim of a reckless [drunk] driver. Another friend, Jaimie Cogswell, struggles to recover at University Hospital.
Lizz would have been a Junior at Brighton High School. Born December 29, 1979 in Washington, D.C., to Thomas A. and Mary E. Phillips. Lizz perfected the art of enjoying life. She loved to dance and was a volunteer dance teacher in the Utah House Authority summer program, 1994. She was a talented writer, loved to draw, and to discuss controversial issues. She was known for her distinct fashion statements and eclectic musical taste.  She gave to all who knew her in life and was a tissue donor in death. We grieve the tragic loss of this wonderfully creative, intelligent, sensitive, insightful person.
Survived by her parents; brothers, Mike and Chris; aunts; uncles; cousins; grandparents and many wonderful friends.
A joint funeral for Lizz and Jenny will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. in the Cottonwood 4th Ward Chapel, 2522 East 6710 South. Family and friends may call at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Monday evening from 6-9 p.m. and at the ward Tuesday from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
"Lizz, your family and your friends will love you forever. DANCE ON!"
